The City of Portland's annual curbside collection of leaf bags/yard waste will be held Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 8.

The City of Portland’s annual curbside collection of leaf bags/yard waste will be held Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 8. The leaves must be in large, paper biodegradable leaf bags that can be purchased at most hardware stores. Place the biodegradable leaf bags curbside on your normal trash day during the above dates and City crews will take care of the rest!

Depending on the volume of leaves collected each day, crews might not be able to collect them all on the same day as your trash collection. Please leave your bags out and crews will return.
Routine weekly trash and recycling collection continues to operate as normal.

COVID-19 Update Regarding Riverside Recycling Facility
All Public Works solid waste programs at the Riverside Recycling Facility are on hold for Portland residents until further notice.
In support of the current State of Emergency and Stay at Home order, the City has temporarily stopped the Riverside Recycling Facility from accepting all material from city residents, including e-card holders. Please do not travel to the facility during the Stay at Home order. All residents, including e-card holders, should be prepared to be turned away at the gate if attempts are made to use the facility during this State of Emergency. This includes leaf bags, bulky items, electronic waste, as well as the cancellation of Household Hazardous Waste collection days on April 4 and May 2, 2020.
