Portland Public Works: Solid Waste Putting Non-Essential Residential Programs On Hold

Regular weekly curbside collection of trash and recycling has not changed and curbside leaf bag collection will go on as planned.

April 3, 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, with the exception of weekly curbside trash and recycling collection, ALL Public Works Solid Waste Programs at Riverside Recycling Facility are on hold until further notice. In support of the current State of Emergency and Stay at Home order, the City will temporarily stop the Riverside Recycling Facility from accepting all material from City residents, including e-card holders. Please do not travel to the facility during the Stay at Home order. All residents, including ecard holders, should be prepared to be turned away at the gate if attempts are made to use the facility during this State of Emergency. This includes leaf bags drop-offs, bulky Item drop-offs, electronic waste, as well as the cancellation of Household Hazardous Waste collection days on April 4 and May 2. Regular weekly curbside collection of trash and recycling has not changed and curbside leaf bag collection will go on as planned. View this page for up-do-date information.
