Saco & Biddeford Savings Promotes Kathy Verrill

SACO, Maine – Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI), Maine’s oldest bank, has announced the growth of its senior leadership team with the promotion of Kathy Verrill to Senior Vice President, Director of Risk Management.

Verrill brings over 30 years of experience in community banking in numerous roles and departments, including banking operations, retail and lending. She joined SBSI in early 2008 as Vice President and Commercial Services Officer before being promoted in 2015 to Project Manager. In her new position, Verrill will analyze and mitigate potential risks to protect the bank’s short- and long-term health. She will also work to educate and raise awareness about the importance of managing risk throughout the organization.

“Kathy has played a significant role in the bank’s success over the last decade,” said Bob Quentin, Chief Executive Officer of SBSI. “Her expertise across a variety of departments will allow her to build relationships and foster collaboration with all areas of the bank. She has a thorough understanding of risk management and I’m confident in her ability to lead.”

Originally from Standish, Maine, Verrill earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She currently resides in Hiram.
