UMF Athletics, University Credit Union Renew Partnership
The three-year agreement provides UMF Athletics with $15,000 in additional funding

FARMINGTON, Maine – University Credit Union (UCU) today announced the renewal of its longstanding partnership with University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) Athletics. The three-year agreement provides UMF Athletics with $15,000 in additional funding for facilities improvements, equipment upgrades, special services/events, and other activities not included in the department’s regular operating budget.
This is the fourth such agreement between UCU and UMF Athletics since the credit union established a branch at 154 High Street in Farmington in 2007. University Credit Union has proudly served University of Maine System students, employees, alumni and their families for over 50 years.
“University athletics define the spirit and are a significant part of the identity of our campus communities,” said UCU President and CEO Matthew Walsh. “As the place ‘Where Beavers Bank,’ UCU is committed to the belief that investing in our student-athletes yields exponential returns in the way of broader student engagement, camaraderie and enthusiasm. We are honored to continue our tradition of support for University of Maine at Farmington Athletics.”
