• South Portland girl's curbside bakery is a local sensation (pressherald.com) — A 14-year-old South Portland resident has turned her home kitchen near Roger Road and Clemens Street into "The Little Crumb Bakery," a one-day-a-week curbside stand that now sells out most Saturdays. She bakes English muffins, sourdough, cookies, and more on an honor-system basis, recently got her kitchen certified, and plans to keep operating with preorders once winter weather arrives.
• South Portland, ME Conservation Commission — September 21, 2026 (meetingwatch.org) — South Portland residents can review a recent Conservation Commission meeting where the board conditionally approved a site plan, requiring changes to the landscaping plan. • South Portland office building near Maine Mall sells for $1.1M (mainebiz.biz subscription) — An 8,474-square-foot office building at 260 Western Avenue in South Portland, near the Maine Mall and Portland Jetport, has sold for about $1.14 million. The 1975 property, with ample parking and health care and professional tenants, last changed hands a decade ago for $830,000, signaling continued commercial demand in this busy corridor.
