• House fire shuts down Christian Ridge Road in Ellsworth (bangordailynews.com) — Southwest Harbor fire crews joined multiple departments responding to a serious house fire on Christian Ridge Road in Ellsworth Friday afternoon, which forced a partial road closure. Firefighters from several Hancock County towns battled heavy smoke, used ladders to reach the roof, and continued arriving after 2:30 p.m., while officials had yet to release information on injuries or the cause.
