11th Annual After d'Arc Gala Raises Over $101,000 for The Arc NCR

The Wild West Gala is The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region's most successful to-date.

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR) hosted its 11th Annual After d’Arc Gala on March 21, 2015 at the Water’s Edge Events Center in Belcamp, Maryland. This year’s event brought together more than 320 supporters for an adventure in the Wild West, which included a delicious themed menu, beautiful centerpieces by Flowers by Lucy, music by The Klassix and a performance by ReVision Dance Company. The gala is The Arc NCR’s most successful to-date, raising net proceeds over $101,000.

Event Chairs Reggie and Barbara Przybylski of Absolute Investigative Services kicked off the gala, which also featured Co-Chair Plaza Ford, Fund the Need Chair Group Benefit Strategies, LLC, and Beverage Sponsor Chesapeake Bank. The event was emceed by WXCY 103.7 FM’s Bob Bloom and WJZ’s Kristy Breslin. The gala’s theme featured “Legends of the Past, Pioneers of the Present, and Heroes of Tomorrow.” A true legend was present that evening as Mrs. Ruth Miller, the oldest living founding family member of The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region, was honored by staff and friends.

The Silent and Live Auctions featured exciting packages including the evening’s premier Live Auction package, “Make Over Your Man Cave.” In addition to the auctions, a lucky winner won a $5,000 shopping spree provided by Smyth Jewelers. The evening also included the 3rd Annual Fund the Need campaign, which focused on raising money for much-needed repairs on two of The Arc NCR’s Supported Living program homes. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, almost $22,000 was raised for Fund the Need!
