Aberdeen Kicks Off Memorial Ride for Harford County's Fallen Officers

The second annual ride for fallen law enforcement in Harford County starts at Ripken Stadium.

For the second year, drivers will unite for a charity ride to honor Harford County's fallen officers. The 2013 Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride runs from Aberdeen to Darlington this Saturday.

The ride began in 2012, after Harford County lost five law enforcement officers, some within days of one another, according to event organizers.

The second annual Fallen Officers of Harford County Memorial Ride begins at Ripken Stadium (873 Long Dr.) at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Beforehand, breakfast will be served by Chick-fil-A.

Motorcyclists and drivers of trucks and cars alike will ride from the stadium to Chesapeake Harley Davidson (4600 Thunder Ct.) in Darlington, where they will receive lunch from Galvinell Meat Company.

At the conclusion of the race, there will be family-friendly entertainment, vendors and opportunities for people to remember fallen officers.
