Aberdeen Police Seeking Suspect In Assault
A male grabbed a woman, before trying to force her into a wooded area, police said.

are seeking a male suspect they believe assaulted a woman last week.
According to a statement from Aberdeen police, around 10 p.m. on March 7, a male grabbed a 46-year-old female who was walking in the area of Victory Street and Chesapeake Court. The male allegedly tried to force the victim into a wooded area, but the victim screamed and punched the suspect, who eventually let go.
The woman—who was not injured—returned home and called police, according to the statement.

Police described the suspect as a male with a thin to medium build, around 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
There have been no other reports of similar incidents in the area, police said.
