Alumni Reunite for 1st Annual Lacrosse Game
Aberdeen High School lacrosse alumni gathered Saturday morning for their first reunion game.
More than 30 lacrosse players from the classes of 1985 to 2010 dusted off their old jerseys, brought their families and returned to their home turf to play a game Saturday morning.
But Saturday's game was only the beginning of future events to bring Aberdeen lacrosse alumni together.
After three years as assistant coach, Aberdeen High School varsity coach Hinson White has big plans to develop a strong Aberdeen lacrosse community.

"You don't just play four years at Aberdeen High School," he said. "You're part of the lacrosse family."
White reached out to several graduates through Facebook to organize Saturday's game.

Since many players come to White as a freshman never having played the game, he plans to develop a scholarship fund for a current Aberdeen player to attend a summer lacrosse camp to improve his skills.
White also hopes to organize a tournament between Aberdeen and Havre de Grace High School lacrosse alumni.
"It was a great experience and nice to see a lot of people," Kyle Lacey, a 2007 graduate and assistant Aberdeen coach, said after the game.
White said the alumni game will be an annual event.
"We take a lot of pride in the game," he said. "It's just nice to get these guys back together."
