• Man Convicted Of Assaulting Victim With Liquor Bottle At Aberdeen Bus Stop (patch.com) — A man has been convicted of first- and second-degree assault after attacking two people at a bus stop on East Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen, leaving one victim with a serious neck wound. Aberdeen Police identified and arrested the suspect days later, and he remains in Harford County Detention Center awaiting sentencing as prosecutors emphasize a tough stance on local street violence.
   

• Academy for Excellence Celebrates 2026 Graduates (mdcounties.org) — Two Aberdeen officials, William H. Montgomery III and Tandra A. Ridgley, are among 124 local leaders statewide who just completed the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance. Their new training in budgeting, ethics, and effective meetings is designed to strengthen how Aberdeen's government serves residents and makes decisions on everyday community issues.
