Fugitive Nabbed at Aberdeen Motel

Joseph Myron Gill was wanted for several fraud and theft cases.

Aberdeen police arrested a fugitive who was wanted by authorities in a number of jurisdictions in connection with several fraud and theft cases on Tuesday, according to an Aberdeen Police Department press release.

Joseph Myron Gill, 62, whose last known address was in Annapolis, was located at an as he was returning to his room. Gill did not resist arrest, police said.

Tipped off by the Queen Anne's County Police Department, Aberdeen patrol officers checked with area motels and found Gill registered under his own name at the  on Philadelphia Boulevard.

He was lodging at the Aberdeen In Town Motel since late Novemeber, the motel manager said.

Gill was wanted by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland Division of Correction, U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Richmond County and North Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department in Virginia. He also has charges pending in Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard counties.

Gill was taken to the Harford County Detention Center for processing, police said.
