2 Charged in North Post Road Robbery

Aberdeen police said the street robbery occurred around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Two  men have been charged in the armed robbery of another man in an alley on North Post Road Wednesday night, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.

Police said that Daniel R Gilbert, 38, of the 200 block of East Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen, and Jumal R. Dudley, 40, of the 2100 block Williams Drive in Havre De Grace, held up a resident in an alley in the unit block of North Post Road.

One suspect approached the victim with a handgun and the other showed a knife and demanded money, according to police, who said the robbery took place around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said that after the victim provided the pair of men with some property, he saw them leave the area and enter an apartment on Roosevelt Avenue.

During the investigation, officers made contact with the suspects and found a replica handgun and knife, according to a statement from Aberdeen police.

Gilbert and Dudley were charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, theft of less than $100 and concealing a dangerous weapon.

They are being held at the Harford County Detention Center.

The victim was not injured in the robbery, according to police.
