BIRD NOTES: Hobgood to DL, Other Moves

The IronBirds return to Ripken Stadium Tuesday for the final homestand of the year.

The IronBirds finished the series with Staten Island by losing both games of Monday's double-header, bringing them to 0-9 against the Yankees this season.

The IronBirds placed Matt Hobgood on the disabled list in a series of moves made Tuesday afternoon. Lefty Trent Howard was placed on the temporary inactive list. Right-handers Miguel Chalas and Jose Nivar, left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez and Jorge Rivera and infielder Tommy Winegardner joined Aberdeen from the Gulf Coast League Orioles.

Right-hander Ryan Berry was sent to Class-A Frederick Sunday.
