BIRD NOTES: IronBirds Eliminated from Playoff Contention

The IronBirds were eliminated from New York-Penn League playoff contention Sunday night in a 5-1 road loss to the Connecticut Tigers.

Aberdeen (20-41) enters tonight's series finale with the Tigers (30-29) 18 games behind McNamara Division-leading Staten Island (38-23) in the New York-Penn League Standings.

Tyler Wilson starts for the IronBirds. The right-hander out of Virginia has appeared in three games with a 1.93 ERA over 14 innings. A 10th-round selection from June's draft, Wilson has 10 strikeouts and two walks.
