It's the battle of Eagles Monday night at .

Don't be surprised if a Faulcon crashes the party.

If you're planning to attend, get there early.

In , the gates at Aberdeen's stadium closed early because the grandstand reached its capacity, according to Harford County Public Schools Manager of Communications Teri Kranefeld. Eagles Storylines

1. Buy Into Faulcon. Brooks has a history of taking good athletes and turning them into prolific passers. Going by the first game statistics, Faulcon is no different. The Eagles' senior had a hand in five touchdowns in the opener.

2. Working on Defense. The Eagles are going to throw and they're going to score. Occasionally, they'll turn over the ball. Having surrendered 20 points against Edgewood in the season-opener, the one place where Aberdeen can improve is on defense.

3. Be the Bigger Bird. Brooks' Warriors handled a pesky Bo Manor squad in the region playoffs in 2010. This year's Bo Manor team isn't nearly as loaded as last year's version. Aberdeen's Eagles should be the better squad in all facets, although Bo Manor coach Todd Shives is one of the better gameday motivators in the conference.

What They're Saying

The Aegis’ Inky Webb calls for Aberdeen to win, 33-8.

(Last week: Webb predicted a 21-13 Eagles victory.)

The Record’s Shad Roe also predicts an Aberdeen win:

Bo Manor at Aberdeen. I left my cave on the shore of the Susquehanna last Friday night just to watch the Aberdeen squad play its first game under longtime River City skipper Johnny Brooks, and I must say, the Eagles were impressive. If they combine their air and ground games as well as they did in last week's 31-point victory, they should have no problems rolling over Bo Manor. The pick: Aberdeen takes it, 34-20.

(Last week: Roe predicted a 21-20 Aberdeen victory.)

Patch Says

Aberdeen's Eagles fly higher in this contest, grounding Cecil County's birds. Aberdeen 35, Bo Manor 6.

(Last week: Patch predicted a 22-13 Aberdeen victory.)
