(On TV) "The Cosby Show: A Look-Back Special" — The Cosby Show changed the face of the Black television family by showing the successful Black family instead of the struggling one. One of television's most popular sitcoms, this show will honored in this 2002 retrospective, which underscores the significance of the series to blacks and America at large. Featured: Memorable clips, bloopers and comments from series producers and stars, including Cosby. BET 8 p.m.

Brothers in Blue: Uncovering Civil War Ancestors with Leslie Anderson
African-American ancestry has long been known as one of the hardest to study. Since slaves were viewed as property instead of people, plantation owners often did not record the names of the men and women they enslaved. Genealogist Leslie Anderson, however, will discuss methodology for identifying and researching her maternal and paternal ancestors who served in the U.S. Colored Troops in Pennsylvania and the U.S. Colored Cavalry in Virginia.

“To Catch a Thief: Constellation Fights the Slave Trade”
Experience a tour and hands-on activities designed to help you discover the career of the ship Constellation’s which served in battle’s to end the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Living History Presentation: Civil War and the Maryland U.S. Colored Troops
Visitors will experience reenactments and spoken word selections by the high school students of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, United States Colored Troops History Society and Civil War re-enactor Zsunee Matema as they honor African American soldiers buried at the Auburn Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.

“Black Sailors in Navy Blue”
Saturday & Sunday, February 26th & 27th, 2:00 PM:
The Black Sailors in Navy Blue walking tour is designed to help visitors delve into the experiences of the multitude of sailors of African descent who served at sea during the American Civil War. This presentation is included with regular admission. Visitors who wish to participate should meet on the spar deck by the ships bell. No reservations are required.
