A Legacy in the Visual Arts: The Scott-Caldwell Tradition
Artist Joyce J. Scott shares how visual arts traditions that span three generations of women in her family have shaped her into the artist that she is today and discusses current works exhibited in Material Girls: Contemporary Black Women Artists.

DRUMLine Live brings the black marching band tradition to the Meyerhoff stage. With riveting rhythms, bold beats and eargrabbing energy, this musical showcase presents original compositions, soul-infused interpretations of top 40 hits, choreographed routines and incredible displays of drum riffs and cadences.

Morgan State University Choir will perform at Cecil College.
Experience music from the African-American community in all its complexity and beauty in this performance. Noted as one of the nation's most prestigious university choral ensembles, the Morgan State University Choir, conducted by Dr. Eric Conway, will perform "A Celebration of Song and Dance." There will be a free-will offering at intermission, in benefit of the Eva M. Muse Scholarship. Muse, who was committed to the community, sponsored yearly women's awards, supported children's activities, and was a lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
This event will be held at 4 p.m. in the Milburn Stone Theatre, Cecil's North East campus, 1 Seahawk Drive North East, MD 21901
