On Thursday, November 11, we observe Veterans Day recognizing the men and women who have served and sacrificed in the name of freedom. Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, was celebrated post-World War I as a day to honor fallen soldiers of the Great War. Nearly 20 years later, Congress officially adopted November 11 as a legal holiday. This week, if you can, take a moment to thank a Veteran for their service.

Aberdeen City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. Normal operations will resume on Friday, November 12th.
