Corporal Adopts Kitten Thrown from Vehicle: Aberdeen Police
An Aberdeen policeman has a new four-legged member in his family.

Aberdeen, MD — A 911 call from construction workers recently saved an animal's life and expanded an Aberdeen policeman's family.
The crew of construction workers saw someone throw a kitten out the window of a vehicle near Beards Hill Road on Monday, June 27, according to the Aberdeen Police Department. They called police and recovered the animal from the road.
According to police, Officer Hoffman arrived at the scene and found a small male kitten.

At the station, Corporal Craig Gentile — who heard about the call — met the kitten and wanted to help. He named him "Bear" and took the little guy home to feed him and get him checked out at the vet.
The 1.4-pound Bear had a mildly sprained leg and fleas, according to police.

Here's the update from Aberdeen Police on Monday, July 11: "Bear’s leg has recovered and he is now living comfortably in the Gentile household, fitting in nicely with his other family pets."
