1 in Grave Condition after Route 40 Crash: Fire Official

One person had grave injuries after a crash on US Route 40 at Oakington Road Wednesday afternoon, according to Harford County Fire & EMS spokesman Rich Gardiner.

The Aberdeen Police Department advised drivers at 4:35 p.m. to expect delays in the area.

As of 7:45 p.m., all westbound lanes of Route 40 remained closed for investigation into the three-vehicle crash, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team.

One person was taken to a local hospital with grave injuries and another was taken to a regional trauma center by ambulance, according to Gardiner.

Fire and police officials were working on the investigation, Gardiner said.
