Crash Shuts Down Part of Route 22: Police

ABERDEEN, MD — Part of MD 22/Churchville Road is closed Monday afternoon due to a crash that has trapped at least one person, according to emergency officials. Before 12:30 p.m., the 3600 block of Churchville Road was closed so first responders could rescue someone who was in serious condition, the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association reported.

Officials said they were arranging for the victim to be airlifted for medical treatment. A Maryland State Police medevac was called to the scene.

Aberdeen Police reported that the collision occurred near the Bakerfield Cemetery. Route 22 was closed in the area of Aldino Stepney Road and Long Drive/Technology Drive, police reported.
