Exelon to Add 2 Clean Energy Generators in Perryman

The power company plans to add nine acres to its Perryman footprint.

Representatives from Exelon Corporation presented plans this week before the Harford County Development Advisory Committee to install two new generators at 900 Chelsea Road.

Next to its existing facility in Perryman, the power company proposed a $122 million expansion on nine acres, according to real estate publication GlobeSt.com.

There, Exelon would install two generators to provide a combined 120 megawatts of natural gas-fired, or "clean," energy, according to The Record.

The facility would employ three people with the possibility for up to five, according to Exelon's proposal, which also included six parking spaces.

Next, Harford County public works will pursue installation of sewer lines along Chelsea Road and planning and zoning must sign off on the site plan before development occurs, The Record reported.
