Fallston Falls to Aberdeen Girls Basketball Team
The final score to the game was Aberdeen Eagles 73, Fallston Cougars 34

The Lady Eagles dug their talons into the Fallston Lady Cougars Monday night in a 39-point rout that ended with the Aberdeen bench holding their opponents to five points in the final quarter.
Fallston got out to a quick start, scoring on the very first possession of the game. But Aberdeen would quickly answer and spark a 12-4 run in the first three minutes of the game.
Brianna Jones scored eight of those points and by mid way through the first quarter the score was Aberdeen 16, Fallston 7. Aberdeen ended the quarter with a six-to-three run that opened a 22- 10 lead.

Aberdeen started the second quarter strong; scoring on the first possession and continued to dominate defensively throughout the quarter growing the lead to 45-18 .
Aberdeen Eagles girl's varsity head coach Stacy Liles said the team did it by working together.

“The girls are playing unselfish basketball, their not afraid to pass the ball and create open shots for one another, and on the defensive end solid defensive pressure works every time,” Liles said.
At the start of the third things got a little better for Fallston. They played stronger defense and put together a few shots. But Aberdeen’s teamwork proved to be too much for them. The score was Aberdeen 63 Fallston 29 at the end of the third quarter.
Aberdeen turned to their bench in the fourth quarter. The second team played with as much intensity as the starters, displaying great defense and working together on the offensive end. They forced turnovers and held the Cougars to five points in the whole quarter.
