Female Admits Stabbing Friend With Steak Knife

Amber Brooke Gregor stabbed her friend during a fight at the Stay Inn Suites, located on the 600 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard.

A 17-year-old girl admitted with a steak knife during a fight last week, according to charging documents filed in Harford County District Court.

Amber Brooke Gregor is charged as an adult with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with the Nov. 21 stabbing at the . She is being held on $50,000 bail.

The stabbing was not a random act of violence, said Cpl. Detective Will Reiber, a police spokesman.

Police have declined to say what caused the fight. The charging documents also shed no light on a motive for the attack.

arrived at the extended-stay motel at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 21 when the fight between Gregor, who lives at the motel with her family, and her 15-year-old victim was still in progress.

The victim, a resident of Aberdeen, was found with two wounds near her left shoulder and collar bone, one wound to her right back shoulder blade and a small cut on her left hand. She was treated initially at the sceneand and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was released from the hospital the next morning.

During a search of the apartment at the Stay Inn Suites, formerly Ken's Motel, police officers found the steak knife between a mattress and the boxspring of a bed.

A worker at the motel declined to comment when asked about the incident.
