UPDATE: Female Stabbed Outside Stay Inn Suites
Police say the stabbing was the end result of a disagreement between the suspect and victim.

A 17-year-old girl is charged as an adult after Aberdeen police say she repeatedly stabbed a friend in the neck Monday night.
Officers arrested Amber Brooke Gregor at the scene of the incident, which occured at 6 p.m. on the premises of , located on the 600 block of S. Philadelphia Blvd., and charged her in the attack.
Gregor and the unidentified girl were friends. The stabbing was not a random act of violence, said Cpl. Detective Will Reiber, a police spokesman.

The "initial investigation points to a disagreement as the motive for the incident," Reiber wrote in an email.

Aberdeen fire department personnel treated the victim, whose condition is unknown at this time, for non-life threatening injuries and transported her to a local hospital, according to police.
