Free Aviation Speaker Series presents Donna Suwall of the 99's with Amelia Earhart's Legacy
Women's History Month brings to the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum'sΒ free Speaker Series an evening of women's courage, achievements and contributions to advancing the roles of women in aviationΒ with speaker Donna Suwell and her presentationΒ Amelia Earhartβs Legacy: The 99sβThe International organization of Women Pilots.Β Donna Suwall, a retired flight and ground school instructor and FAA Pilot Written Test Examiner and a long- time member of the 99sβthe International Organization of Women Pilots,Β will talk about the great legacy Amelia Earhart left to aviation in the form of the organization called The Ninety-Nines.Β Donna will take us from the first meeting of the 99s organized by Amelia Earhart to todayβs worldwide organization and show why this was one of Amelia Earhartβs greatest accomplishments as well as covering why Amelia thought it important to draw women pilots together, Amelia's hopes and dreams for the future of aviation and women in aviation. A photo ID is required for admission to the program.
