Harford/Cecil Walk to End Alzheimer's is October 2
Join or start a team for this fundraiser benefiting local families
Harford/Cecil Walk to End Alzheimer's® returns to Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Registration is 9-10 a.m. with the Walk following at 10 a.m. The honorary Walk chair is former Harford County Executive David, the Walk to End Craig, who is living with Alzheimer's. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is held in more than 600 communities nationwide to provide Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
A Flower Garden Ceremony makes a visual impact before the Walk begins. To show how Alzheimer's touches lives, colored pinwheel flowers are held: Blue-living with Alzheimer's or another dementia; Yellow-caregiver/care partner; Orange-advocate/supporter; Purple-loss someone to the disease.
Throughout the event, CDC and local health guidelines are followed. Social distancing will be practiced and masks should be worn in crowded areas. Sanitizing stations and masks are available. To register for the Walk, visit alz.org/maryland/walk or call the 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900.
