Man's Condition 'Grave' after Old Philadelphia Road Incident

Around 6:30 p.m., a man reportedly suffered a traumatic injury at an Aberdeen Pier 1 distribution center.

A man in his 20s was in grave condition Tuesday after an injury on the 900 block of Old Philadelphia Road in Aberdeen, Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association, told Patch.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to an incident initially reported as an "accident involving a piece of machinery" at the Pier 1 distribution center on Old Philadelphia Road, Gardiner said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he remained in grave condition Tuesday evening, Gardiner said.

The Aberdeen Police Department did not have any information available regarding the incident as of 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The Pier 1 building on Old Philadelphia Road contains more than 600,000 square feet on 41 acres, according to state property records. It is used as a storage warehouse.
