Participation Doubles at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region’s 2nd Annual Harford Hills Bike Adventure

Seventy cyclists, ranging from novice to avid riders, rode courses of between six and 54 miles as part of The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region’s 2nd Annual Harford Hills Bike Adventure on Saturday, April 26. All rides began and ended at the historic Steppingstone Museum in Havre de Grace. After the ride, cyclists and their families enjoyed lunch and the live music of Electric Molly.

Event participation doubled from last year’s inaugural Harford Hills Bike Adventure and the event raised over $6,000 through sponsorship and participation fees. Sponsors included Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Medifast Weight Control Bel Air, Diane Smith and Family and Anchor Boats of North East. Lunch for the participants was provided by Famous Dave’s; tents were provided by Rockfield Manor; music was provided by Electric Molly; bags were provided by Freedom Federal Credit Union and bottles and bike support were donated by The Bel Air Bike Shop. SAG wagon support was provided by The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region and transportation and medical support from Level Volunteer Fire Department.  

Joe Harter, a Harford County resident who lives with disabilities, created the event’s promotional artwork and rode the 30 mile event route. “It was awesome! I love having the opportunity to ride my bike alongside others, enjoy the beautiful scenery and support the work of my friends at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region.”
