PHOTOS: Tuesday's Carsins Run House Fire

A home in the 1100 block of Montreal Drive was severely damaged and family pets perished after a propane tank leak ignited the deck in the rear of the home Tuesday.

The photos featured in the slideshow above are courtesy of local photographer Dean Nicewander, who was at the scene along with firefighters from Aberdeen, Level and Aberdeen Proving Ground.

A reader named "sarah" left a comment on the original story indicating that the fire "killed all of my mice, the three parrots and several of our cats."

The fire was controlled by 30 firefighters in approximately 15 minutes.
