Incident Near Aberdeen Walmart Clears: APD

Aberdeen police and fire officials said traffic was affected temporarily Thursday night due to a call near Walmart.

ABERDEEN, MD — Traffic on US 40 in Aberdeen was impacted for about an hour Thursday night due to an emergency response.

The Aberdeen Police Department said that its personnel were checking on someone for a potential overdose before 10 p.m.

One lane was open on US 40 east at Walmart Way, police reported.

Authorities said they were conducting a welfare check in the area, with police and fire crews on scene.

After 11 p.m., officials said all lanes were open on Route 40 at Walmart Way.
