12th Annual Starbelly Golf Tournament Raises $10,000 for The Arc NCR

On Friday, August 15, Starbelly hosted their 12th Annually Starbelly Golf Tournament at Mountain Branch Golf Club in support of The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR). A total of 107 golfers came out for a day of fun at this year’s event, which raised $10,000.00.
“It was a perfect day,” says Sherri Schocket, the tournament’s manager. “Beautiful weather for a beautiful cause…we are happy to have a long-standing relationship with The Arc NCR and are excited to see the direct impact made on the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
The tournament was founded in 2003 by Starbelly band member Dennis Schocket and his friend Joe McKeever as a fun way to give back to the community. Each year, the band and a group of volunteers put in countless hours to host what has become a unique tradition in Harford County. All proceeds are donated to The Arc NCR and are used locally to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To date, the Starbelly Golf Tournament has raised in excess of $74,000.
