Tractor Trailer Crash Near US 40 In Aberdeen Causing Delays

ABERDEEN, MD — Hazardous materials personnel were called to the scene of a tractor trailer crash near Aberdeen Monday morning. Just before noon, a tractor and trailers collided on the US 40 ramp, police said.

The crash happened at Short Lane and the ramp to Route 40 east, according to the Aberdeen Police Department, which was investigating what happened.

The Aberdeen Fire Department also responded to the crash, and hazmat specialists were called due to a minor diesel spill that occurred, police said.

As of midday, Aberdeen Police advised the public that there may be delays in the area "for some time."
