Will the IronBirds Make the Playoffs for First Time?
Leo Gomez is in his first season managing Aberdeen's Single A club.
The Aberdeen IronBirds began their 10th season Friday, but have yet to make the playoffs.
Many fans, however, think manager and former Baltimore Oriole Leo Gomez could be the difference. He replaced former skipper Gary Kendall, who was promoted to the Double AA Bowie Baysox after three years in Aberdeen.
Patch asked nine fans at Friday and Saturday's games if this was the year the IronBirds break through.
