12-Year-Old MD Boy Charged In Killing Of 2-Year-Old: Sheriff
A Salisbury pre-teen is facing multiple murder and assault charges in the Saturday death of a toddler, officials said.
SALISBURY, MD — A 12-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with murder after being accused in the Saturday killing of a 2-year-old living with him in Salisbury, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday.
Authorities were called to a home on Jack Drive in Salisbury Saturday in regards to the death of a 2-year-old, after which they spoke with caregivers about the circumstances of the child's death, officials said.
The investigation led to the older child being charged with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment in connection with the death of the younger child, according to officials.

The 12-year-old boy was arrested and transported to the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center, where he is currently being held, officials said.
