Home values across Maryland continue to show major gaps between counties, with two now averaging well above $600,000, according to new Zillow data.
But where does your county stand?
The interactive map compares average home values across Maryland counties using Zillow Home Value Index data.
Howard County took the top spot, with an average home value of $638,752, followed closely by Montgomery County at $625,366.
Allegany County had the state's lowest average home value at $154,511, followed by Baltimore City ($188,220), Somerset County ($205,505) and Dorcester County ($271,297).
The data comes as Maryland's housing market continues to shift slightly toward buyers, according to a pair of reports from Redfin, a real estate brokerage platform.
Buyers may be gaining negotiating power as homes sit longer on the market, though mortgage rates remain elevated.
A growing number of sellers are adjusting to the weaker demand by cutting prices. In the Baltimore metropolitan area, sellers slashed prices on just over 31 percent of homes, according to Redfin. The average price cut was about 7.3 percent, or $31,765.
