Mother, Son Found Dead By Family Member Inside MD Home

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD — A woman and her son were found dead inside a Frederick County home, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies and Frederick County Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a residence in the 6100 block of Baldridge Circle on Monday after a family member reported finding two unresponsive people inside the home, authorities said in a statement.

First responders arrived about 4:35 p.m. and found a 67-year-old woman and her 34-year-old son dead inside the residence.

Police did not release the victims' names.

Sheriff's Office detectives took over the investigation and said preliminary findings indicate the deaths stemmed from circumstances confined to the home and involved only the people who were present there.

Investigators said they are not seeking any suspects. There is no ongoing threat to the public.

Both bodies were transported to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsies. The cause and manner of death remain pending.

The investigation remains active, and authorities said no additional details are being released at this time.
