Authorities said the incident took place in Waldorf, where a woman had arranged to meet Gordon on the 2200 block of Old Washington Road at 10:30 p.m.

The woman told police that after she entered Gordon's car, he claimed to be a police officer, handcuffed her and then physically assaulted her. Gordon later drove to a secondary location where he sexually assaulted the woman.

It wasn't until several hours later that the woman was able to escape and call 911, according to the department. She was later treated at an area hospital.

Connections To Anne Arundel County

Investigators assigned to the case learned the following day, June 29, that Gordon was caught in a separate kidnapping case in Anne Arundel County.

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police arrested Gordon near the BWI Marshall Airport. Officials said the second case had "circumstances" that mirrored the Waldorf incident.

Additional details were not released regarding the incident.

Collected Evidence + Pending Charges

The Sheriff's Office said a search warrant for Gordon's car returned evidence that directly linked him to the Waldorf case, prompting officials to file several charges.

Court records filed in Charles County show Gordon is facing five charges. All but one — kidnapping — are listed as misdemeanors.

Gordon remains held without bond in Anne Arundel County. His next preliminary court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
