13-Year-Old Boy Bitten By Beaver At Cunningham Falls State Park: Report

A boy was airlifted to Johns Hopkins Hospital after being bitten by a beaver over the weekend at a state park in Frederick County.

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD — A 13-year-old boy was bitten Sunday at Cunningham Falls State Park by a beaver, according to a report.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources told WUSA9 that the boy was hospitalized at Johns Hopkins Hospital after suffering injuries to his hands and chest.

Investigators with the Frederick County Health Department told the outlet that the beaver would be tested for rabies.
