Residents across Maryland will wrap up the last week of July with another round of severe thunderstorms that may cause flash flooding.
The latest National Weather Service alert states isolated storms are possible Monday afternoon, with cells possibly developing between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
However, the biggest threat to Marylanders comes Tuesday. "Damaging wind gusts and isolated flash flooding are the main threats with these storms," reads the NWS notice.
A hazardous weather outlook is in place for all of Washington, D.C., and the majority of Maryland.
AccuWeather reported that the strongest thunderstorms are forecast to create wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph.
Alex Sosnowski, who serves as senior meteorologist for AccuWeather, said storms "do not have to be severe to produce frequent lightning strikes and heavy downpours that can lead to water on roads and poor visibility for motorists."
An NWS timeline shows showers and thunderstorms kicking off in Maryland after 11 a.m. Tuesday, with wind gusts as high as 21 mph developing.
Once the storms start, residents can expect the stormy conditions to stick around into the night. Forecasters say additional rain showers could develop between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Wednesday.
While initial rainfall totals are expected to range between a quarter and half of an inch, they could also measure to a tenth and quarter of an inch.
Tuesday's max temperatures will hit around 84 degrees before storms bring readings down to the high 60s.
After Tuesday, residents may see another round of storms on Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
It's not until the weekend that the chance for storms returns. Current forecasts put Sunday storms at 50% likelihood.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11 a.m. High near 84. South wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Low around 68. South wind around 7 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
