Another Round Of Rain Forecast In MD: Weather Whiplash To Bring Sunny Skies, Then Showers

After a weekend of windy and wet conditions, Marylanders can expect a slight breeze to stick around for a few days. Rain returns by Friday.

Gloomy weekend weather is giving way to drier conditions for the next few days before showers return in Maryland.

While cloudy, breezy conditions stick around Monday, the biggest chance for sunshine starts Tuesday and is forecast to remain through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures stay in the mid-70s Tuesday and Wednesday but bump up to the 80s by Thursday. Residents can expect to see the week's low temperatures plummet as low as 58 degrees.

As for the wind, forecasts say gusts of about 8 mph will remain until at least Wednesday.

Welcome Back, Rain?

While the nor'easter is long gone from the region, a moving cold front raises the possibility of rain showers Friday and throughout the weekend.

The latest NWS forecast indicates Maryland could see scattered rainfall start after 2 p.m. Friday and continue throughout much of the day.

While the exact time for weekend rain is not confirmed, forecasters say Marylanders can be assured of cloudy conditions.

High temperatures will max out in the low 70s on Saturday and Sunday before falling to the high 50s.

Monday Afternoon: Cloudy, with a high near 70. Northwest wind around 9 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. Light northwest wind.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.
