Halloween is days away, and there's good news for trick or treaters: the weather appears to be cooperating this year.

Latest forecasts released by the National Weather Service indicate sunny and mostly clear skies will stick around through Saturday, conditions perfect for spooky hayrides and the occasional neighborhood scares.

Residents can expect high temperatures to stay between 68 and 77 degrees in the days leading up to weekend Halloween festivities.

However, depending on how late residents are looking to participate in outdoor activities, such as haunted trails, an extra layer or two will be worthwhile.

Forecasters say the lowest temperatures on Saturday are expected to dip into the low 50s.

Conditions will turn mostly cloudy starting on Sunday, when residents may be met with a rainy day to round out the weekend.

Temperatures for Sunday will remain in the mid-50s.

The chance for rain sticks around Monday, with forecasted high temperatures in the low 70s.
