Man Accused Of Killing Estranged Wife In MD Grocery Store Parking Lot
Authorities said the shooting happened Saturday night outside a Giant Food store in Frederick County.

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD — A Frederick County man was arrested after authorities said he shot and killed his estranged wife in the parking lot of the grocery store where she worked, according to police and reports.
Frederick Owusu Sakyi, 33, of Walkersville, was taken into custody by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office following the Saturday shooting at Giant Food, located at 3530 Sugarloaf Pkwy. in Urbana.
According to authorities, deputies were called to the store shortly after 11:10 p.m. where they located the woman dead at the scene. Authorities said Sakyi fled following the shooting.

The woman was later identified as 33-year-old Tenisha Butler, according to News4. She was an employee at the store.
According to authorities, Sayki had a history of protective orders and stalking Butler.

Deputies later located Sakyi in Walkersville and took him into custody. He was charged with first-degree murder and firearm offenses, according to court records.
During a search of Sakyi's vehicle, authorities found a handgun on the front seat and an assault rifle on the back seat, the sheriff's office said.
In a statement provided to WJZ in Baltimore, Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins called the killing "horrendous."
"We are very fortunate there was no other injury or death. These domestic-related crimes of violence are very unpredictable," Jenkins said in a statement. "Our investigators moved quickly to secure the murder scene, identify and collect evidence, and apprehended the defendant within just a few hours."
