MD's Pax River Naval Base Locks Down After Shots Fired: Officials
Officials with Naval Air Station Patuxent River said shots were fired at an on-base housing unit.

PATUXENT RIVER, MD — Parts of a Maryland naval air base were locked down Tuesday after shots were fired within an on-site housing unit, officials confirmed.
In a Twitter post, officials with Naval Air Station Patuxent River said shots were fired at the Lovell Cove housing unit. It's unclear whether anyone was injured.
The incident prompted officials to issue a shelter-in-place for Lovell Cove shortly after 1 p.m. ET. Base emergency personnel were called to secure the scene, officials said.
