VA Toddler Dies After Dog Attack In Maryland: Reports

A 2-year-old Fauquier County, VA, boy died following a dog attack, which happened near Brunswick in Frederick County, MD, reports said.

BRUNSWICK, MD — A 2-year-old boy from Virginia died after he was bitten by a dog in Frederick County, Maryland, on Tuesday, according to multiple reports citing Brunswick, Maryland, police.

The attack happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 400 block of West B Street in Brunswick, according to a FOX 5 report. First responders said the boy went into cardiac arrest at the scene and later died at a hospital, FOX 5 reported.

In a news release obtained by the Frederick News Post, police said the boy and his family were from Fauquier County, Virginia, but did not identify the child "out of respect for the family."
