10 Fastest-Growing Companies in Maryland: 2016 Inc. 5000

The top 10 Maryland companies on the list have annual revenue ranging from about $2 million to more than $40.

No. 24 Furniture Solutions Group of Annapolis: Supplies furniture, window treatments, artwork and decor to senior housing centers, multifamily dwellings and hotels. Revenue of $8.6 million

No. 35 n2grate of Greenbelt: Provides data center, infrastructure, cloud and colocation, recruiting, staffing, training, software and technology security services. Revenue of $43.4 million

No. 126 NORTHSTARGROUP of Gaithersburg: Designs, implements and delivers IT consulting and staffing strategy. Revenue of $3.4 million

No. 228 CallTrackingMetrics of Severna Park: Provides businesses with software that tracks the exact ad and website visit that generated a call and routes calls in an advanced, highly targeted fashion. Revenue of $5 million

No. 24 B&D Consulting of Hagerstown: Provides technology engineering, cybersecurity, cloud computing, mobility and unified communications. Revenue of $7.6 million

No. 296 VOR Technology of Columbia: Provides engineering and intelligence analysis for members of the intelligence community and Department of Defense. Revenue of $2.4 million

No. 309 Panthera Technologies of Owings Mills: Provides IT advisory, cloud, cyber security and managed services. Revenue of $2.3 million

No. 342 Edifice Solutions of Beltsville: Provides construction and Design+Build professional services specializing in federal government contracts and building industry support services. Revenue of $31.4 million

No. 380 Green Generation Solutions of Bethesda: Provides high efficiency lighting retrofits, HVAC and building controls optimization, building commissioning, building envelope assessments, procurement, smart building systems and energy data analytics to help commercial and government facilities lower their energy costs. Revenue of $11 million

No. 533 BarnAllen Technologies of Rockville: Provides a variety of business and support services to government and commercial clients with a focus on information and technology management, specifically health information management. Revenue of $11.7 million

Methodology: Companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of Dec. 31, 2015. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million.
