The 100 'Drunkest' Towns In Maryland: Where Does Annapolis Rank?
Roadsnacks.net has compiled a list of the "drunkest" towns based on the number of available places to buy booze, and other criteria.

Annapolis has landed at the top of another list, but this isn’t one to brag about. And residents may dispute the somewhat subjective ranking.
But the Roadsnacks website, a data compiler that specializes in creating lists that rate communities on how ”snobby” or “redneck” they are, went there, compiling a list that rates the “drunkest” towns in several states - including Maryland. And Annapolis is ranked No. 1 as the drunkest city, with several other Anne Arundel communities making the top 100.

“Plus, we thought why not add in a stereotype?,” the site says. “Studies have indicated that when one or both partners in a marriage are alcoholics, that couple is three times more likely to divorce.”
Surprisingly, summer vacation spot Ocean City doesn’t make the list. Not as shocking: College Park, the home to the University of Maryland, is No. 4 in the rankings. The No. 2 spot goes to Hagerstown and No. 3 is Bel Air.

About top-ranked – or most tipsy? – Annapolis, the folks at Roadsnacks wrote:
“No surprises here if you’ve ever spent time in Annapolis. There are bars and restaurants up and down West Street here. In fact, there are more bars per capita than anywhere else in the state of Maryland.
So Annapolis is the capital in more ways than one.
The divorce rate is one of the highest, as well. There’s no telling what percent of the wrecked marriages were due to alcoholism, but when you have tons of options for getting wrecked any night of the week, there are gonna be some interesting moments around closing time in Annapolis.”
Other Anne Arundel communities in the rankings are:
17. Pasadena
19. Glen Burnie
40. Arnold
43. Odenton
58. Brooklyn Park
59. Parole
61. Severna Park
64. Crofton
69. Riviera Beach
90. Severn
