$100K Winner: 'Christmas Is Going to Be a Lot Bigger'
An Anne Arundel County woman is a three-time Lottery winner this year; her latest prize of $100,000 means a big family Christmas, she says.

PASADENA, MD — While familiar with good fortune, an Anne Arundel County cashier found her latest $100,000 winning encounter with Maryland Lottery luck more shocking than her two previous wins. This is her third big prize in the last year and, amazingly, the second $100,000 prize. She also won $10,000 on another scratch-off.
Delivering her latest win was The Big $10Ticket, which went on sale Nov. 28.
“I stopped at the store while driving home from work Monday morning,” she said. “I cashed in a ticket and bought The Big $10 Ticket with some of my winnings.”

Scratching the game’s top line while waiting at a red light, the 52-year-old mother and grandmother uncovered what she thought was a $100,000 prize.
“To win this much again, so soon, was a stunner,” said the Pasadena resident. After sharing the news with her daughter and receiving confirmation from a Lottery retailer, the pair sped off for Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim her prize.

“Well, one thing is for sure….” she said, when asked how her $100,000 win would affect her life, “Christmas is going to be a lot bigger for my grandkids!”
She added that several home remodeling projects will also get finished. These improvements are to a house that her first $100,000 Lottery win helped her buy.
She bought her winning ticket at the EZ Quick Food Market at 231 Mountain Road in Pasadena. For selling a top-prize scratch-off in the game, the Anne Arundel County retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
