115 Annapolis Seniors Gathered for Hot Dog Hoedown
The senior citizens square-danced to rock 'n' roll and '70s music.

Square dancing to “Bare Necessities” from Disney’s “Jungle Book” and music by rock band Queen and Michael Jackson kept members from the Annapolis Senior Activity Center, dressed in cowboy hats and denim and fringe outfits, on their toes.
About 115 senior citizens gathered for the Hot Dog Hoedown on July 30.
Along with hot dogs and square dancing was Western trivia. Seniors were tested on their knowledge of characters like Annie Oakley, Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Matt Dillon and others.

A square dance caller kicked off the dancing with Don Williams’ country song, “Amanda,” but soon switched to songs like “A Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen and “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson.
